Malaysia Work
I developed my ideas about 'megaprojects' via three poster presentations in 2009. The first was on the 10th of March in the online section of the Researchers' Poster Competition at Durham University. I entered a poster entitled 'Are there any birds in Dr. Mahathir's Gilded Cages?' and received feedback that saw me adjust the poster for a presentation at the Yorkshire and North East Hub Poster Competition - Public Understanding of Research hosted at Leeds University on the 22nd of April. On the 9th and 10th of May I attended the Green Templeton College Human Welfare Conference on 'Globalisation' and Human Welfare: Innovations in Sustainable Solutions where I presented a poster entitled 'The Malaysian Policy of Global Ambition.'
On the 15th of May 2009 I presented a paper entitled 'Are there any birds in Dr. Mahathir's Gilded Cages' at The Plymouth Postgraduate Symposium which was then published in their e-journal Proceedings of the Postgraduate Symposium 2009 (p.p.255-261).
