Photography
Photography is very much a hobby of mine, and a fairly new hobby at that. Despite my inexperience, I've often been pleased with the results I've been able to achieve and become ever more enthusiastic about taking pictures. I decided not to use any stock photography in the creation of this website, feeling that using my own work would be more personal and thus more authentic.
There are many levels of skill that lie between snapshots and photographic art and while I undoubtedly reside on the snapshot side, much like my Thursday Column seeks to improve my writing, I believe that only by doing to we learn and only by (self)publishing do we receive useful feedback. It's important to chart your journey and now that my images have begun to be used in local press (in connection to stories I write the press releases for) I am ever more appreciative for the feedback so many of you kindly take the time to send me.
I use a Nikon D5000.
